Luxury Holidays and Your Health Feb 19

We’re a busy bunch, the modern society. We work longer hours, we eat lunch in front of our computers, we sleep less. Our internet capable mobile phones mean that many of us are even working on the move. This contributes to massively increased stress levels, which in turn leads to sleep problems and the feeling of being generally run down.

Luxury holidays really can help with this, believe it or not! Holidays are an opportunity to just get away from it all and there are three great ways in which they also boost your health.

Stress

Luxury holidays are an indulgence. They’re a rare treat during which (if you’re doing it right at least) you’re not working. It’s a chance to stop thinking about the office and unwind. It’s incredible the difference that this makes. We tend to return from our holidays feeling refreshed and sleeping better.

Eating Habits

On our holidays, we do eat more regularly in many cases. Hotels tend to have regular meal times and this regulates our eating habits somewhat. Hot weather can also make is crave fresher foods and healthier ones as well. We tend to drink more water in hot climates as well!

Getting Active

Of course we like to laze around the pool or beach on our holidays. But many people also walk more when sightseeing. We’re also swimming or taking part in water sports and beach sports etc. An increased level of activity while on holiday is definitely good for our health and general fitness – particularly if you’re normally stuck sitting in front of a computer!

So providing you can financially afford to do so, the benefits for your health is a great excuse to take a holiday, indulge yourself and make the most of a break getting away from it all!

Choosing a Holiday Spot – The Easy Way Feb 19

I couldn’t believe it this year when the wife left it to me to organise the family holiday! Wasn’t it enough for me to earn the money that actually paid for our holiday?! We’d been going to the same holiday apartment in France for about fifteen years but unfortunately the block that we always stayed in had been bought and redeveloped into luxury hotels. Hotel holidays really aren’t what my family are all about – we like to get out and about, we like to be able to cook for ourselves and it’s nice to have a base that feels like a proper home, away from home.

I was pretty annoyed about the burden of finding somewhere for us all to go on holiday, but I figured that if I had to do this, then at least I could find something a bit different – and a bit better. I had a chat to a few people I know about where they tend to go and what sort of holidays they have. Most people I know opt for camping – no thanks! I don’t want to have to crawl out of my abode every morning thank you very much! A good mate of mine though has got a timeshare and he said it was working out really well.

I looked into a few possibilities and I came across a great looking company called El Cid vacation. They seemed to be such a firendly company and the different options open to us were incredible! Several different places to stay and they all looked fabulous! Needless to say I went right ahead and did a deal with them. We are now the proud co owners of a beautiful time share and our holidays are going to be better than ever!
